A Look at Mark B. Weiss Real Estate Chicago IL
Mark B Weiss is a real estate broker who established his own full-service real estate firm in 1988.
I have a lot of respect for individuals who make it big in real estate. That is why I am taking a look at Mark B. Weiss today. He has big-daddied the real estate world and is worthy of a mention.
I believe he offers his clients a well-rounded portfolio of experience.
His firm now provides a variety of services to real estate buyers and sellers including sales and marketing.
Weiss handles transactions for a range of clients including corporations, municipalities, institutions, and lenders. His staff also act as court-appointed receivers, managing agents, mortgagees in possession, and leasing agents, as well as in the typical broker and agent capacity.
Weiss doesn’t seem to have a particular niche. He and his firm have sold property types of all kinds including single-family homes, apartment buildings, office buildings, town-homes, commercial properties, retail centers, multifamily buildings, industrial facilities, mixed-use developments, vacant land, condos, town-homes and partially completed residential areas.
Weiss got his start in business in 1972 at the age of 19. At that time, he came up with the idea of an army-navy store in Chicago which he subsequently opened successfully and called it the Uncle Dan Army-Navy store. As part of that endeavor, he began an international mail order catalog business.
His Real Estate Persona and the News Syndicate
Over the years Weiss has established himself in the field of real estate and has become fairly respected and well-known. He has appeared on radio and television programs as a real estate expert for interviews and panel discussions.
He has appeared on episodes on CNN, Fox, CNBC, PBS, NBC, and other radio and TV stations. He’s been quoted in TIME Magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, St. Petersburg Times, the Detroit Free Press, The Florida Times Union, and Money Magazine, among others.
In 2004 Weiss was honored by the state of Israel Bonds Real Estate Division as their first real estate honoree.
Mark Weiss Books and Publications
Weiss is also an author with six books credited to his name. These were all written in the early to mid 2000’s, with the exception of his novel, written in 2010. The titles of his books include:
- Streetwise Landlording and Property Management: Insiders advice on how to own real estate and manage it profitably. He co-wrote this with Dan Baldwin.
- The everything homebuying book: All the ins and outs of making the biggest purchase of your life. He co-wrote this with Ruth Rejnis.
- Secrets of a millionaire real estate developer,
- Condos, co-ops, and townhomes: a complete guide to finding, buying, maintaining, and enjoying your new home
- Real estate flipping: grow rich buying and selling property
- The I can’t get enough club. This last book is a novel.
Weiss does not have much of a presence on YouTube and I couldn’t find any podcasts.
He seems to be a successful businessman who has made a place for himself as a respected real estate broker and has written books that apparently did well back in the day when they came out. He does not seem to be writing actively now.
He has kaboomed real estate and I believe you could learn some the man. As it is often said,
Success leaves clues!
Whether you are looking to emulate him or use his services for transactions, it appears to me that you are in good hands… and no, he didn’t pay me to say all this. Just FYI, my reviews aren’t always positive either.
Good luck!
