< Sorry I’m reworking my video. In the meantime check out our Apply for a video from James.

Hey Guys! What’s going on?

Are you like a Katy Perry song when it comes to real estate investing?

Ya know how the old song goes:

‘Cause you’re hot then you’re cold
You’re yes then you’re no
You’re in then you’re out
You’re up then you’re down
You’re wrong when it’s right
It’s black and it’s white

That’s how I tended to be. I was like super hot on the idea and then when things didn’t go my way, I was feelin’ pretty cold.

Michael Lacava Real Estate Investing Review

Has your partner ever looked at you and wondered what the h$LL you did to the finances?

The pic above is how I would like to envision it, but it never seemed to go down like that. You know with that slightly seductive “I love you through anything” look, even if you screwed up royally. LOL

No Way Joseph! (<- yes I did that on purpose)

It simply didn’t happen that way in my case. I lost it all including my partner (eventually), but that is a longer story.

When it comes to breaking the news to your partner that you lost a bunch of money, there is no good way to say it.

-Honey, “I made a mistake” just sounds so lame. My solution? Don’t DO IT!

So, if you have ever sung the Ramen Noodle blues, you will wanna pay close attention to what I am gonna say here.

I know what it is like to lose it all in the REI game.

So, what’s better? Hold on.

I will tell you at the end of the review.

Just in case you might wanna know who I am you can read about me, the Real Estate Spy here.

It all changed when I met James and got the proper mentor in my life.

Mike Lacava could be a good guy to learn from, but I am not sure how hands on he will be when it comes to your success.

He is brilliant, and he teaches people to flip their way to freedom,

>>but I am still OUT!<<

Why?

What’s up guys! First off, Welcome to my BLOG

Pretty excited about this time of year. Why?

We are now about a week into fall.

My wife and I love back country hiking in the fall, and we have some great plans for capturing some beautiful moments together coming up. Camping by a stream in the mountains, hearing the rush of whitewater and enjoying the ambiance of fresh fall weather.  Ah, I’m there in my mind already.

Jeff Adams real estate review

But before I can run off to do all that, I promised I’d give you some information on Jeff Adams. So let’s take a walk together through what I discovered as it relates to his real estate investing program.

Maybe you are like me when I started researching real estate.  I wanted to be my own boss without the headaches of a job. I wanted to have freedom, and be anything I wanted to be.  Things didn’t work out for me that way, at least initially. HOWEVER, I truly believe you should do something (real estate or not) and

-years ago when I tried to springboard out of my 9-5, I dove head first into a pool with no water (I mean that figuratively btw).-

What happened?

I decided to get into real estate investing. I had it all planned out. 10 houses all profiting a thousand dollars per month = $10,000 a month which was what I needed at the time to be able to retire from my industry. Plans didn’t work out the way I expected. I was naïve and I believed that nothing I did would fail. I learned a big lesson.  At the time what was missing? It was a mentor who had already traveled the road that I was embarking on. You can read about my story here.

Now that I have the right mentors in place I don’t have to chase money. Money comes.

So, here’s my Jeff Adams review., and although Jeff Adams is a great real estate guru,

>>I SAY, “NO WAY JOSE…or in this case no way Jeff”

Why do I say that?

Josh Cantwell Review

What’s up! How’s your day going? I’m pretty poppin’ peachy.

Why?  Well… because it is 2:38pm and I am still in my pajamas sippin’ on some joe. Ever since I set fire to my fabulously faux office (aka cubicle) and decided to go it on my own, I’m pretty stoked.

Currently, I’m not making what I was (multiple six figures), but I am soooooo much happier.

What happened?

Here are the cliff notes: I met a guy with some mad-max internet skills. He showed me what to do to own my own business doing internet marketing. After some mentoring and encouragement from some others, I walked out of my job after nearly 10 years. What did I leave behind? I left all the work and results and big fat paycheck with them.

What did I take? The rest of my life.  The way I saw it? Time was whisking by and I was missing out on so much life and connection out there.

I wanted to feel like I did when I was a kid….nobody owned me then.  I didn’t want to feel owned anymore. I wanted to have freedom.

What made the difference? I got some coaching.

Just wanted to take few moments here to discuss a power player “plutocrat” in the real estate guru world.

Larry Goins: Can His Real Estate Investing Training Help You?

What’s up guys. Today I (the Real Estate Spy) wanted to give you the low down on Larry Goins.

It’s morning (here). My wife is still sleeping up stairs. These are the moments I love coming down the stairs, grabbing a cup of coffee and planning some time to hang out with you here online. Shhhh…don’t tell anyone, I played all day yesterday, so I figured this morning I might as well get a little something done.

So grab your coffee (or favorite drink) and hang with me for a little bit. Let’s have a discussion about Larry Goins.

Larry Goins Real Estate Review

Just in case you don’t know much about me, you can learn how I dropped a !$#% ton of cash into real estate and then lost everything here.

Unlike the gurus, I don’t claim to be an expert in real estate investing although I still do it (a little). I am just an average guy who ended up on the wrong end of the real estate market.

I decided to stop chasing big money and learn a better way to do life. My life changed when I found the right mentor (James), who taught me a better way.

First off Larry Goins has a great program and as much as I like hanging in South Carolina, >> I’M OUT! <<

Why?

Marko Rubel Real Estate Investor Review

Marko Rubel Review: From Baller Boxer to Bulky Bankroller

Guess you can call this guy a capitalist!

Oh….and

just in case you are wondering the urban slang meaning of “baller” is coined after the expression of the kids that grow up on the streets and then go on to make millions, like the pro athlete ball players.  You got my vector Victor?

So let the Real Estate Spy (me) do some work here.

I think it was Armando Montelongo who features a dude on his testimonials page that is completely blind who states that he has been making a lot of money in real estate using his methods.

So there is you and me…right? sitting there in the audience thinking… well if a totally blind guy can do it, I should be able to tear it up and make a crap ton of money.

Right?…..Wrong!

There are all kinds of factors that play into the real estate game, but you gotta love Marko Rubel’s Rocky Balboa (theme song on his site) showing the world he is taking on the real estate game.

Now having been able to spend a lot of time around MMA fighters, I can tell you that these guys have a very specific mentality. They are driven as hell and not afraid to take a beating.

Marko Rubel is no exception. He knows how to deal with knock downs, upsets and setbacks.  So, what am I saying?   He has tenacity. Hell, I’d venture to say that I am sure I don’t have half of what this guy has. I’m just not wired that way.

I mean I love fitness (can’t believe they put that guy’s face on my body up above ;-)), but the idea of getting “punched in the face” isn’t my idea of fun.

Just take a minute and read through Marko’s story I will believe you will begin to see what he is made of and get a clear picture of how unique he is.

Let me dramatize it a little for smoother reading. It’s a great story and it is riddled with the hero’s journey.

We all love this type of story.

That is why the movie Avatar made $3,020,000,000.

How to Make Money with Rental Properties

I think I have mentioned this before, but just in case I will mention it again. I own a piece of real estate in Vero Beach, Florida. I love the house because it was actually my parents house. Every time I walk through the door I feel like they should be waiting for me in the kitchen or the living room. Unfortunately that is not the case because my parents have already passed on.

However they left me a great home and I have often considered what to do with it. For quite a while I was pretty torn between renting it out short-term or long-term.

I kind of wanted to hold onto it for sentimental reasons and for the possibility that one day I may retire down to that area.  Sorry to turn in my man card like that, but yes I am very sentimental.

-But, as you probably know

Any time you want to have your cake and eat it too, you better pay close attention!

Thank god I met B-rad (James). He helped me figure out a better way to have my cake and eat it too.

So, let me tell you this story and how I didn’t see what was coming.

A Review of Real Estate Guru Cameron Dunlap

Hey Wazzup!! It’s Paul the Real Estate Spy. I love to review the latest courses and shiny objects when it comes to real estate investing. I’m pretty excited today!

Why? Well because….

Yesterday was pretty awesome!

I was able to blow out of the house early for some time on the water. I went kiteboarding. (If you don’t know what that is, you can see it in the picture.) I am in the air here.

That is why I love the sport because of the air we catch when we jump.  We are all attached to kites as you can see in the background. You can youtube it if you have never seen it.

real estate freedom

The reason I mention it is because Adura Sanya (Real Estate Investor) talks about designing your work around the things you love and the lifestyle you want.

–Heck for that matter Dave Ramsey tells us he has an integrated lifestyle, which means that the lines are blurred between work and play.

Because I need a lot of wind to kiteboard..

…around (15 knots or better), I wanted to be able to catch the right wind any time of the day.

>With a J-O-B that is virtually impossible, which brings me to why you are probably here.

Maybe you are looking for a way to set your own schedule….tired of the rat race. That was me.  All I can say is thank heavens I met James but more about that later.

Cameron Dunlap was no different. He wanted the time freedom that we want. You know…wake up in the morning and say I’m headed to my favorite spot (mall, beach, mountain, creek, river, lake, trail, shopping locale)…later b!@ches.

A Critique of the New Book “Zillow Talk”  A discussion about the Starbucks Effect,  Gayborhoods and More..

Real Estate has been influenced by a lifestyle shift according the newest publication by Spencer Rascoff and Stan Humphries

Speaking of lifestyle shifts, let me get you up to speed on what’s happening around here.

-The other day I decided to join a CrossFit gym.

The best part? I work from home and can go as often and at any time that I want. Not trying to impress you, just trying to impress upon you the freedom that is available to all of us.  Learn More.

Back to crossfit.

I went in there and everybody was pretty much beast. This is what I saw when I walked in. Hey I wanna look like that. It was pretty inspiring so I joined immediately:

real estate investor

It kinda reminded me of how the real estate investing dealio goes. You walk into a seminar and wanna be gazillionaires like the rest of the folks in there. The only problem?

You didn’t see how they got there. Now it’s your turn to go through the pain. Like the old saying.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die to get there.

I thought this would be really good for me to be able to work out and get my @ss back in gear.

While I was there, it dawned on me that I needed to go pick up a book from Books-A-Million for my son’s summer reading requirement.

I figured it was a good opportunity to look for some new stuff on real estate to see what kind of hooked bait they’re selling now.

Guess what I found out?

Besides the fact that Books-A-Million offers one of the best Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino’s in existence today, which definitely rendered my crossfit crushing activities useless.

You probably know….

But I’ll tell you anyway. I strolled up and down the aisle looking for real estate books, and I found the same books that were out 10 years ago. They are still being sold.  Say what? A lot has happened since then.

I just wanted to do some book reviews for you guys and very quickly recognized that there isn’t much new material out there.

Why is this? Well, there could be a couple reasons for it. Either, people simply are not investing in real estate as a side hobby business anymore, or the market has simply been so crazy that really nobody knows what the hell’s going on.

I personally believe that the reason why books are offered in the book stores is because revenue generating marketers determine what is selling in their stores and what isn’t. Ok, no brainer… but/and It’s all about demand.

Guess 50 shades of Gray gave real estate books a real smack-down this summer.

All About Adura Sanya: Real Estate Investor

Who is Adura Sanya?

There is a new guy on the scene…well not really that new, but new to some of us here in internet land.

Plainfield, New Jersey 28-year-old real estate investor has made quite a name for himself. He wanted to become a film director but he ditched the idea in favor of becoming a real estate investor at the age of 20.  He just didn’t see a future in film directing for himself. It is kind of funny to consider that he is now the director of his own Youtube channel. I guess video production it is! He has accomplished both.

What are some of his accomplishments?

  • He learned how to buy properties at a discount and this turned into him being able to move $5 million worth of properties since.
  •  and more importantly He comes off as an “in the trenches” sort of guy who believes in marketing truth and real content to people that are looking to learn how to invest in real estate.

His BIG BEEF is with all of the infomercials and other gurus that tell people that they can make a ton of money in real estate without investing any time or money.

He explains that real estate is very much an active business. You have to be on the court and in the game to be able to win. It is not easy but it can be lucrative if you learn the right skills to make it happen.

——>Even though Adura is calling a spade a spade, and standing on the sidelines with me yelling “foul” at some of the garbage out there telling us how we are gonna make it big in real estate,

I AM STILL “OUT.”

WHY? Well, I kinda learned my lesson…

Mark Ferguson Real Estate Review:

Mark Ferguson grew up in a household where real estate was a common theme. His dad was a Realtor and got his start in 1978. Originally Mark was thinking about going into finance, and completed his college studies with this in mind.

But as he puts it, the right opportunity never presented itself. So like a Nancy Drew Novel in a twist of fate, real estate investing came knocking on Mark Ferguson’s proverbial door.  He began working for his dad.

This kind of story reminds me of Andrea Bocelli (famous Italian Tenor).  When he was asked whether he always wanted to become a famous singer, he responded  something like this, “In life, you don’t choose to become a singer, rather, you are chosen by the people around you as a singer.  A singer is only a singer because people want to hear them sing. Every where I go, people want to hear me sing.  They chose me.” I think this is a little like how Real estate chose Ferguson. ;-)

Since then he has created his own real estate team of 10 people. They’re highly successful selling a whopping 200ish homes per year each, and Mark has a knack for flipping (fixing and selling or renting) 10 to 15 homes per year.

Mark Ferguson is married and has two children. He lives in Colorado and has made it big in real estate. He runs a blog called Invest Four More.

I spent some time on his blog, He has really done a great job of pulling together great information. He is able to talk about very difficult real estate subjects with ease. His writing shows that he not only a skilled writer/blogger, but also proficient at real estate investing.

What’s up with the Bright Blue Lamborghini Diablo?
