Matt Theriault Review:

Welcome to my page on Matt Theriault Reviews!

-Story and Background:
Matt had been devastated by a divorce and bankruptcy.

He had a mentor who told him that that didn’t matter and he should pursue his interest in real estate.

He was super skeptical…

but he felt like he was between a rock and a hard place so he decided to go ahead and trust his mentor.  He describes how sketchy it all felt, but in a twist of fate, he was on his way to becoming wealthy.

His first purchase was a small dumpy little house in Long Beach California. He completely renovated it and rebuilt it. He changed it into a four-plex. He was able to sell it in seven days.

Profit generated?– over $100,000. He was able to keep $26,000 for himself.

He has done over 500 deals since. At least that was his stats in December 2014.

He tells the story that once he figured out what to do, he simply duplicated what he was doing. He created a checklist that he implemented each time that he looked at a new real estate deal.

He started Epic Real Estate Investing.

He runs a video blog (vlog: I never have gotten used to saying that word) called Epic Real Estate Investing.

His show is called Financial Freedom Friday.

…and he has: Do Over Podcast

The purpose of the show is to teach newbie real estate investors the common pitfalls of real estate investing and to help them understand what it is that they do.

I got to spend quite a bit of time watching his YouTube videos. I was fascinated by the way he uses video editing to drive home.

Either he is really good at it or he has hired somebody to do all of the video editing his message.

  • Is Matt Theriault’s message or products a scam?
    • I don’t think so.
  • Is he qualified to teach?
    • Uh yeah…he certainly has the track record.

But…here we are again. A highly successful real estate investor is at work online.  What does this all mean?

 Real Estate Investing Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs | What could we learn  about Real Estate Investing from his brilliance?

Today, sitting here with my bowl of cereal… aka breakfast of gold medalists, my intention was to begin blogging shortly about the real estate investing market,

-which can royally SUCK if you are new at it.

…and tell you why I think it is a BIG MISTAKE getting involved in it. (UNLESS) you have tons of money to lose.

Otherwise, you might fail!!!! like I did. and you need to be

Warned about what can go wrong. You know…the stuff they don’t tell ya. ;-)

If this is your first time on my site…

well…a big southern cheek grin “Hyello” from me.. Just FYI…I’m not that southern, but you deserved be treated well while you are here.

>They call me the Real Estate Spy.

To “maximize” my kung fu grip on life, my schedule involves some mindset prep work every morning.

I research people that my “million dollar mentor” (BRAD if you didn’t already know) coaches me on.  By the way, that’s him up top. He’s a 7 figure income earner online and I hired him to teach me.

Back to what I was saying….

Then I study their material closely looking for the gold… Know what I mean? The golden nuggets that keep you from getting…

your ass kicked

….in the business world and help you make and keep some money in the process.

It really doesn’t matter how much you make…it’s how much you KEEP!

This morning I looked at Steve Jobs.

If Steve were sitting in your living room right now, what would he be telling you to do? What would he tell you NOT to do?

Let me talk about the 6 Secrets I uncovered, and reasons why you will PROBABLY FAIL at real estate investing

-if you don’t know them intimately.

They are some of the reasons I failed miserably when I tried to go into real estate investing:

Just a short recap in case you are just getting to know me:

-I had a good “corporate” job, making mo’ money than I had sense. I was unstoppable. ;-)

“I charged the field, fought valiantly and died swiftly.”  Why? ’cause I thought I was smarter than everyone else.

-What followed?

Foreclosures, Bankruptcy….Divorce, Alimony

I lost it all, money, respect and relationships.

One thing I learned? You gotta know what you are getting yourself into.

Be prepared… (or don’t and see what happens.)

It’s an understatement to say that Steve jobs was a Revolutionary. He saw the world of personal computing in a way that no one else did.  The following 6 secret sauce scoop review are his ultimate golden nuggets that can be applied to real estate investing:

Real Estate Investing: A Dream Come True?

The Las Vegas lifestyle. Can you picture yourself in your evening attire? You are all dolled up…and you smell smacking great!  You let out a glib remark…”Bet it all on red.”

Living the 44,000 foot lifestyle…Hanging out by the pool, with the hottest people on the planet sipping down a bloody Mary with the perfect little umbrella.
The young/good-looking waitstaff comes by and with a smile asks you if you need anything else.

That’d be nice, right?
OK so I’m exaggerating on purpose and poking fun at the obvious.

If you are like me and most other people just making an extra $5,000 – $10,000 a month from home without having to bust your nalgas for somebody else that doesn’t appreciate you would be peeeeeeeerfect!

I mean becoming a MILLIONAIRE is great, but a HUNDREDTHOUSANDAIRE is decent too. (I ain’t complainin’.)

So let’s talk a little bit about making money from home by being your own boss.

The general allure of investing in real estate is basically to become your own boss, right?

At least that was what the deal was for me. I basically was sick and tired of traveling for a living. At the time I worked for a corporation that required a big “hefty” black bag load of travel.

It seriously sucked the sparkling spirit right out of me turning me into a corporate zombie corpse.  I had to change things or die trying.

BiggerPockets Podcast and Social Network| A Fresh Look

This is clearly an example of a hybrid…an amphibian business model….and I like it. It’s brilliant.

Hey, It’s Paul, the real estate spy. I’m sitting here at my desk with my really red Ferrari fresh espresso shot cup of coffee and the urge to write a crap cargo ton of information on what’s going on with bigger pockets and the members of this gigantic group.

Can anyone say frog fry?  I gotta freeze for a moment and enjoy a frog fry fest related to this deal for a sick second.

What do I mean by that? Well… Who is Josh and Brandon? Yes, they are real estate investors, but what are they more? Tah Dah!!!

biggerpockets reviews

(photo biggerpockets.com)

They are amphibians…  hence the frog pun…entrepreneurial amphibians -they operate in two different arenas.

I’ve done my research…so…. I have to say they are more Internet marketers than real estate investors. The real estate investing was just a doorway into what they are really up to these days.

They may disagree with me, but they don’t get to here ’cause it’s my blog, and I get to be the digital emperor on this block.

So, what’s going on Mr. Magicians right under our noses that you might not want us to notice? Care to know? Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself.

Andrew Cordle: Real Estate Investing Industry’s Up and Coming Star

Andrew Cordle Reviews

Andrew Cordle Background and Back Story:

In 2004 Andrew got his real estate investing start and decided that he wanted to bank some coin in the hot real estate market.

So, much like the rest of us, he saw an average Jo featured on an infomercial boasting some big money benjamins and decided he had to check it out.

Obvious next step? Get off his oss and onto making some money, money, money in Real Estate.

So, he tiptoed into his first seminar promoting, you guessed it, millionaire real estate investing.

When it came time, like so many of us,

–he sprinted to the back of the room like Usain Bolt to a room full of female Swedish volleyball players

Real Estate Investing: Joe Crump Style Exposed

That’s right, I call it Crump Style, No Not the Dance known as Krump style, although it might as well be…

It’s Paul again. As discussed before, I am known as the Real Estate Spy, and I love what I do. Today, I felt like one of the panel on America’s Got Talent or American Idol.

joe crump real estate investing(Thank you Google for the pic.  attributes goes to them.)  Hahahaha… I couldn’t resist. I always wanted Simon to tell me I was a rock star. (Disclaimer…he didn’t really say that about me, so don’t get crazy.)

I’ve got James to thank for all the training. I put some of his millionaire coaching training videos on this site, so you could get a feel for what he teaches.

Why did I feel like one of the panel members?

Because I got to review (Mr. Joe Crump) this genius marketer busting all the right moves in his attempt to funnel his prospects through his system.  Gotta hand it to you Joe, nice internet marketing.

“Subject To” Review

His “subject to” system which he considers a little more advanced is a great way to funnel prospects who need to sell their real estate through a process that enables you as the real estate investor to capitalize on a lease option and capture and hold the real estate to build long term wealth. The system also let’s you pick up some cash by getting the buyer to commit to a lease option upfront cash drop.  But I am getting a little ahead of myself here.

First let’s talk about Joe.

Phil Pustejovsky Freedom Mentor: A Fresh Look

I call him the YouTube real estate guru, because he frankly owns a lot of property on the infamous YouTube. What do I mean by that? Think boardwalk and baseball on the old monopoly board game. You almost can’t help but land on something this real estate mogul owns when you type in “real estate investing” into YouTube.

Sounds kind of like an internet marketing genius to me!

Again, I recommend doing what rich people do, not just what they say to do. Is there an exception here? Nah,  Phil’s good. He knows how to market. He has proven it with his channel and internet presence. So let’s do some digging.

Real Estate Profits: The OMGs of House Flipping

Things to know when flipping a house

When you flip a home, you may wanna yell….LOOK Out Below.

When I did my first flip, uh, I should have been a little more aware of what could go wrong. But I wasn’t.

steps to flipping houses

Here’s the story.

The market was hot.  Some would argue now that it was too hot. But what did I know Robert Kiyosaki, Dolf de Roos and the gang all said it was a great time to buy.

Heck even the Today Show said it was a good idea. Not to mention, a friend of mine told me his story, how he worked his whole life, but the real money he made was through real estate sales. He owned a home in Hawaii and sold it for a handsome profit, and it put him on the map financially.

Get my gist?

Then came me….clueless. Armed with a bunch of books as my arsenal, I tackled a bad idea as I soon discovered.  As said…he charged the field, fought valiantly and died swiftly.

So on to what happened.

I scouted out the area….drove up and down the streets in search for perfect beginning of my real estate riches. The Florida sun beat down on me as I jumped out occasionally grabbing the “for sale” info from the blasted little round tubes holding the current info on a property.

I came to really like the see through ones because I could tell if they had info in them before I bothered getting out of the car.

The worst was when they had everything about the property except a price. Ugh. What do ya mean, I have to call?

Eventually, there it was. It was the beater on the block and I was going to rehab it make some moolala/dinero, you dig?

Donald Trump Real Estate Guru Review

What kind of Real Estate Spy would I be if I didn’t deliver a legendary look at Donald Trump and his dealings? So, let me at least highlight the good points that you can learn from this monster mogul (and I mean that in a good way.)

It’s easy to be a critic. It is easy to sit on the sidelines and critique every player in the game. But it is a whole different when you gotta play the game. It’s even a different story when it comes to coaching a player to greatness. I believe there is a dynamic difference between telling someone they suck and showing them exactly how to get better.

So here goes.

Trump Real Estate Investment Strategies

I have scanned the web looking for some unique angle on Donald Trump that would provide you some marvelous insights for your real estate investing activities.  Note, I often believe that you shouldn’t do what the gurus tell you as much as do what they are doing.

Does that make sense?

So let’s talk about Donald Trump the Billionaire Real Estate guru, and what you can get out of this review.

I started with a couple of questions, and I find it helps if you keep the same questions in the back of your mind as you read along.

What’s his true secret? How did he become wealthy? Who is he outside of his TV and Internet persona?

and most importantly…Can you be “Trump” rich?

I had a lot of questions and I think I came up with some pretty good answers.

Let’s face it…when it comes to Donald Trump I can think of like 10 Billion reasons to listen.

Dolf de Roos Review

I first learned of Dolph de Roos through Robert Kiyosaki. It seemed for a while there that you didn’t see one without the other. They had become friends and have worked together to promote information products for real estate investing.

dr. dolf de roos

Dolf de Roos: A Fresh Look at His Story:

Dr. Dolf de Roos usually begins every seminar/lecture series, story or book with his story. It goes a little bit like this. He was 17 years old and he had been taught all of his life that in order to succeed he needed to go to the university and study. His parents were trying to educate him well. They certainly weren’t trying to hurt him or dissuade him from following his dreams, rather, they were concerned about his destiny and his ability to earn a living in the future, so they taught him to go down the path they considered best to make that happen.

However, at 17 years old Dolf became intrigued by what makes wealthy people wealthy, and began a nine month project of studying the rich to see what made them tick. He says unfortunately at the end of nine months he discovered that there was no correlation as to why certain people were rich and others weren’t. He said it didn’t seem to be dependent on their gender, upbringing or any socioeconomic combination of events.

So he basically ditched that project.  But he did discover 2 secrets that led to making him a fortune.

The first was…
